The Campbell Organizational Survey (COS™) is the original, full-length, norm-referenced organizational climate survey designed to assess how employees experience the fundamental systems, conditions, and leadership practices of their organization. The COS provides a comprehensive diagnostic of culture, execution, rewards, ethics, and working conditions—allowing leaders to benchmark results against established norms and identify structural strengths, risks, and misalignments that directly affect engagement, performance, and retention.

Unlike abbreviated or express diagnostics, the COS is intentionally deep and comprehensive, making it ideal for enterprise-level assessments, formal organizational development initiatives, benchmarking studies, and longitudinal measurement. The survey measures organizational systems and conditions—not individual traits and is appropriate for low- to moderate-stakes applications such as culture assessment, OD consulting, and strategic planning. It is not intended for employee selection, promotion, or disciplinary decisions.

The COS Classic Online Edition is delivered exclusively via secure online administration and includes professional scoring, consolidated reporting, and technical documentation. Optional strategic support—such as executive feedback sessions or OD consulting—is available through a separate Statement of Work (SOW) to ensure clarity, flexibility, and alignment with organizational needs.

All COS surveys are administered online. Reports and guides are delivered in PDF format. The COS assesses organizational systems and climate and is not intended for individual evaluation or employment decision-making.
